When my large and ancient grain mill finally gave out at a rather inconvenient time, I gladly decided to try this Vitamix container and have never looked back. The Vitamix takes up only a small portion of the cupboard that the previous grinder took up and is excellent at processing wheat and rye berries into flour. I recommend investing in hearing protection as it is noisy, just like an old coffee grinder. It's also helpful to start at a low speed to start crushing grains, and then slowly increase the speed to the maximum. This container is perfect for my model 5200 blender base.
