We have a new Macbook Pro and we all know about the limited number of ports and options that only Type-C ports create. What I am. most needed was VGE ports for a Dell monitor and a Gig E port. I looked at many of the ones that had 1 and 12 different ports. What really helped me decide was the looks and the fact that this only had 6 ports, 2 of which were a VGA port and an Ethernet port. It really came down to me reading other reviews about how hot the 10 and 12 port models were and the failure rate. I realized this only has 6 and using only the ones I need helps avoid overheating. So far so good and it works great. I showed it to a colleague and he was blown away by the flexibility and the price, especially as he had an Apple adapter and we know how expensive they can be.
