I have two Mercedes GL550. Both have a keyless entry option and use these keyfobs. I had to buy a replacement remote for one. If you own a Mercedes, you probably know that picking up keys at the dealership is only possible if you want your keyless go function to work. You must provide your dealer with your VIN number in order for them to program the remote correctly. Then they have to be ordered, etc. They cost about $500. Last week I dropped my keys in the parking lot at work. The keys hit the ground so hard that the key fob detached from the keys and the small metal key detached from the key fob itself. I was concerned that I might damage or lose one of my remotes, so I started looking for cases for these remotes. I first bought a hard shell remote case. When I received it I was disappointed because it looked and was cheap. It wasn't sustainable. Not at all. If the keys were dropped it would come loose. Not good. I kept looking. Then I found these cases. These keychain cases are excellent! They fit well. You look good. They are soft enough to provide impact protection and still look like they were made by Mercedes. you look so good Like OEM. I bought two blue cases for my wife and two silver ones for me. The cases are true to size. They are easiest to install when warm. I installed one while working in my garage. Then I went in and installed the other three. I replaced all of the CR2025 button batteries in all four remotes before installing these covers. One of my machines didn't recognize one of the remote controls, so it's time for new batteries. Aside from the fact that they look great, feel great, and offer great protection, I think my favorite feature is that once these covers are in place, the key fob cannot separate from the metal key inside. You must remove this cover to access the metal backup key. It makes me happy that I don't lose my keychain somewhere. It could happen, but it won't happen now. As you can see I am very happy with this purchase. I really can't believe how good they are and how little they cost. My photos don't really do it justice. What they are showing are $2,000 Mercedes key fobs that are well protected and look like OEM gear. Nice!
