Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 48300 Pushrod Extractor Tool by Jack Watkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tool! on Steering and Suspension Tool

Great tool for removing and replacing pushrods on GM 60 degree V6 engines (2.8, 3.1 and 3.4). Whether you're just making lower intake manifold gaskets or head gaskets, this tool is a must have. Let me explain why. The aluminum heads on these motors can damage the threads so easily. You really need to know what you're doing so you don't damage them. When reinstalling the rocker arms, if the lifters are already in place, you CAN manually rotate the crankshaft to ensure each valve you want to tighten and torque closed to relieve valve spring pressure, but you can 100% remove it . . BUT, with this tool you can loosen and properly set the rocker arm bolts, then use this tool to install the push rod. And it's very easy to use. If you're trying to get to the lower intake manifold gasket on one of these engines, do yourself a favor and get one of these tools. It's worth the low cost and awaiting shipping even if you only intend to use it once. 2 thumbs up!
