Review on Challenge Your Mind With Creative Crafthouse'S Redstone Box Puzzle by Micah Manus

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just what a puzzle should be.

This is exactly what a puzzle should be. You first open up the box and you'll say, it's impossible! But yes, it can be done, all the pieces fit inside. no clever lateral thinking or tricks needed for this one, you just have to orient the pieces the right way and it all fits like a dream. Such a satisfying feeling to drop the red block in and slide the lid closed! It look me about half an hour to solve it for the first time, and maybe another twenty minutes to practice and memorize the solution so that I can solve and unsolve it in a few seconds.Leave it unsolved on your desk. people won't believe it can be done!Difficulty 7/10 -- This didn't take me long to solve but early on I was questioning if it could be done. I was thinking of getting out my calipers and measuring all the blocks to actually see if their volume could possibly fit! Eventually though, I got an idea about how it has to be done, and that led me to the solution quickly enough.Design 10/10 -- So beautiful and so simple. It's an amazing little piece of art and an incredibly fun game for something made so simply. It's literally just 9 rectangular blocks of wood and a box.Quality 9/10 - All the wood parts are precisely cut and everything is nice and square and tightly glued. Only thing is there's a little bit of glue spillover on the top of the box that is a bit unsightly, and the red-dyed center block also stained its nook on the lid a little bit red.

Pros
  • Drive both kids and adults batty while trying to solve it.
Cons
  • The price tag for the Redstone Box Puzzle is relatively high, which may turn off budget-conscious buyers who are shopping for a more affordable puzzle experience
