Smooth but not exactly

10/08/21 Have been using it for a few weeks now and am tired. I've never had to work so hard to iron it out. Everything else is great, but actual results are short-lived. I have shoulder length, medium wavy hair with long layers. Here are my PRO results * At 450, I can still hold the stick firmly with my other hand to smooth it out * Floating plates provide comb-like handling. Detangles like silk* Heats up in seconds* Won't wrinkle even when held firmly, glides down and stops CONT* Hair has never been straightened with an iron. Smoothes but doesn't nourish (Why is it called a smoother? Shouldn't it smooth?)* Might. no Receive. My hair. resist. Humidity. Even with products * had to be smooth again every day. Usually once and lasts for several days.* According to the instructions, my hair should be straightened at 360. Even at 450 it doesn't work. I didn't want to toast my hair so it went up 20 degrees with each use starting at 360. I just don't understand how a straightener can be so good at anything other than heat? Maybe something is wrong with the element? My hair never felt "hot" even at 450. My old $30 Remington wet dry worked better than the Varis. My current Hot Tools Pro straightener can straighten my curls for $390 a day. frizz town. I really wanted it to work and I tried really hard. Maybe I have a lemon? So sad.
