Review on ๐Ÿฆˆ Genuine OEM Shark Navigator NV22, NV22L, NV22T On-Board Vacuum Cleaner Hose - Part # 1114FC by Anne Marie

Lower quality replacement despite name Shark

This hose is of lower quality. First, it's about 3 inches shorter than my original hose that came with the vacuum. That means when you put it in the vacuum cleaner, it expands so much that it looks like it's about to rip. When attached, the old hose was just long enough that the inserts between the fins were barely visible. I wonder how long it takes for a new hose to break. Second, the inserts between the ribs are much thinner. If you pull on it a little, you can practically see through the hose. My vacuum has attachments for cleaning sofas: a brush and crevice attachments. I have serious doubts that the hose will withstand stretching in multiple directions when using these nozzles. If you don't use nozzles, your hose may last longer. Third, there are no holes in the hose that contains nozzles. The attachments are not so easy to insert and pull out again with a lot of effort. If this hose lasts a year I will be surprised because it is shorter and cheaper design. I was going to buy some more parts from this seller but refrained from doing so until I saw this quality of hose for myself. Shark appears to have new owners producing lower quality products to increase profit margins. The hose was $30+, not cheap. I will not buy from them again in the future. And if that vacuum breaks, I won't buy another Shark (it was my second Shark) because I expect the degradation to happen across the business, not just hose replacements.
