Works great on my NV26 model.

There were concerns about ordering my Shark NV26 but other reviews said it would work. The metal spring feels a little smaller, but the folds of expanding plastic feel a little deeper. When stretched, this hose stretches much more than the original hose. It doesn't always retract completely when vacuuming, but stays out of the way. I think this is because the metal spring is smaller than the original or the plastic is softer. I used a short piece of old hose to fix the short bottom hose that…

Broke after 6 uses

This hose was a replacement for the one that fell apart on our Shark. It lasted every 6-7 uses when we were using the hose to vacuum the steps and part of the hose fell out of the insert. So I tried removing the insert to see if I could snap them together easily and the tab on the insert that allows you to pull it out broke right away! I've now been working with Shark for over a week to get a new hose. The experience was pointless - days went by and then CSR asked me when and where I bought the

Lower quality replacement despite name Shark

This hose is of lower quality. First, it's about 3 inches shorter than my original hose that came with the vacuum. That means when you put it in the vacuum cleaner, it expands so much that it looks like it's about to rip. When attached, the old hose was just long enough that the inserts between the fins were barely visible. I wonder how long it takes for a new hose to break.
