I like the comfort of the shoes. The Boa-like lacing system is not suitable in use. Coming from the Boa system where I could easily loosen and tighten the laces while cycling, using this system is like a step backwards. After paying a ton of money for these shoes and people telling me they will last a lifetime, I'm disappointed. I feel like renting shoes because I have to buy heel pads about every two months. I only have to walk eight feet on my concrete pavement, then I'm in the mud and the same when I come home from skiing. I find it ridiculous to change these heel pads every two months. If I had known about the Boa system and the easy-to-wear heel counters, I would have gone for Specialized shoes. I think I'm stuck with them for a while. August 6, 2021 *Update* After wearing these shoes for 6 months and spending over $30 to replace the heel pads and now the straps are stretching and need replacing, I'm done with that! SIDI cycling shoes may have lasted forever in the past, but now failure is built into them. These shoes are parasites that suck the money out of your wallet. If you ride once a week these shoes might be good for you but if you ride multiple times a week I would look elsewhere! I could understand why these heel pads wear out so quickly when heel dragging or walking on hard, rough surfaces, but I don't get it. Another thing I forgot to mention, heel pads, they are dangerous. . They'll have you skating fast when you're on a wet surface, like getting off your bike and walking 4 feet to the gate to open it. I walk on the grass wet with dew. November 8, 2022 I have had these shoes for almost 2 years now. I will not buy another pair of SIDI shoes. A system like BOA is PITA, heel pads cost money and I have to replace them every few months. I spent over $60 on heel pads. My four-year-old Specialized shoes with built-in heels have hardly been worn. Initially, SIDI shoes seemed more comfortable, but over time this is no longer the case. When I wear Specialized shoes, they are much more comfortable. I didn't buy shoes for spares, I want shoes that I don't have to worry about. Tired of buying heel pads, tired of hyped shoes. I pulled out my old Specialized Torch 2.0 shoes, way better than the Shiddy shoes, and they were worn out. I bought a pair of Shimano RC7 road bikes. I will never buy Sidi shoes again. I don't think you could give me a pair unless they include heel pads for a few years. LAUGH OUT LOUD
