I installed the cable release today and it seems to be of good quality and fits my GMC 2001 Sierra. I watched a few YouTube videos before installing this part, which is always helpful. The hardest part was removing the plastic piece that attaches to the metal bracket. It takes a little time and effort to extract it. Again, watch the videos here that give an insight into the removal process. Aside from that minor difficulty, the installation was pretty easy and straightforward.
