True to size or slightly small
Bought a size 4 for my 5 year old, below average and a size 8 for my 8 year old, above average (both sizes thin). Perfect fit for my 5 year old but the sleeves were too short for my 8 year old. Width wise I'd say both are snug but not super tight, good for work if your kid is looking for that. The quality/weight of the fabric seems good although we haven't used it more than a couple of times. I will let you know if the rash guards don't stand up to prolonged use in salt water (which is our main use).
