Efficient but slippery
Pros: Holds the housing very firmly but slides smoothly and definitely won't damage the housing no matter how hard you twist it : a bit awkward to use, sticks to the filter housing like a suction cup and falls at the wrong moment The smooth, coated surface is difficult to grip when you have to lift the case back into a corner, place it under the pan and twist it into place by hand (it only took a few minutes, and 15 minutes next time). Pretty difficult to clean (I don't like dirty oil on my tools).
- PERFECT DESIGN - This 86mm oil filter wrench fits all BMW and Volvo engines that have a smooth plastic cartridge style oil filter top cap. It will not fit caps with a hex nut on top. Use with 3/8" ratchet, 27mm socket or 1-1/16" socket. The 3/8" square drive is easy to remove and install, and the hex wrench can be used to loosen over-tightened or over-tightened caps.
