First, they stink. They literally smell like cheap plastic/rubber stored in mothballs. The smell survived hand washing and washing in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, the plastic wasn't that good and the mats warped a bit. The underside of the rugs are actually quite grippy so they won't slide around on your countertop, but for the price you might be better off laying them on a thicker, all-purpose plastic cutting board. Much easier to clean and lighter on your knives.
