The upper is washed out so that the toe of the shoe is exposed within two days of wearing. Shoes do not provide arch support at all. If you sit at your desk all day and occasionally go to places where safety shoes are required, these might be right for you. If you have to work on your feet all day, buy something else. This is by far the worst safety toe shoe I have ever bought.
