Review on πŸ’§ Rubbermaid Leak-Proof Flip Lid Thermal Bottle, 10 oz - Black: Stay Hydrated On-The-Go! by Marty Wainwright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

STANDARD SIZE COFFEE/TRAVEL MUG

This giant little mug packs a lot of features into a small size. I accidentally ordered the 16 ounce version and it ended up being too big as I wanted a shorter (and thus more practical profile for a desk or desk). It washes clean in no time. The flip-top style lid snaps firmly onto the drinking and vapor openings, and the screw-on lid is easier to use than many snap-on/lid tumblers. Well, while I didn't want a bigger size, it's great for cold drinks/iced water where you need more volume. You can put a can of soda in a 16 ounce bottle and leave room for ice. But really, who needs 16 ounces of coffee all at once? I love the exercise I do by going to the coffee pot when I need a refill, so ten ounces is fine. I no longer have a pod brewer, but I suspect it fits into the brewing mechanism. Before ordering, check the seat in the car to be sure. I knocked mine over a few times while playing ucker and it rolled minimally and spilled a few drops of coffee onto the table through the drinking hole, but the spillage was absolutely minimal as I immediately grabbed it and straightened it. I wash by hand. If you need a small travel mug, this is a good choice. My coffee stayed hot, I worked up to three hours with the lid open to drink. Haven't got it on 5 yet. It's cheap enough to replace if something happens to it, but for now it takes everything I throw at it. Overall this is a good buy for what it is. UPDATE: April 2020 I have purchased several Rubbermaid mugs to date and they continue to perform well after repeated dishwasher cycles, a variety of hot and cold beverages, bumps and drops. I have tested both sizes and all flip tops still work. The large size makes it easy to pour extra coffee from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as long as the lid is tightly closed and the flip-top lid is closed. They were a good investment and the screw tops are a lot easier than tearing off branded tops that you have to press down hard and snap into place. Much friendlier arthritis for cranky old retirees.
