Review on πŸͺ’ Black Widow Professional Barber Straight Razor with Straight Edge Blade (Wood, 1.5mm)" by Allison Taylor

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Worst razor I've ever used.

Razors are most effective when properly crafted. The only thing that can be said for sure about this razor is that it fails on every count. The design looks good from the side in the picture, but it feels rough and chunky in the hand. The flakes are too thick and give the impression that they were cut in bulk on a machine and assembled into a finished product with little effort. The rough edges, which could be easily sanded down, didn't mean it would stick to your hand if you manipulated it. The balance wheel is secured with an overtightened pivot stud, making grip adjustment difficult. The spine, face and stock are just a rolled up hollow piece of metal, which would be fine except the spine is beveled in one of them. direction, and the tail is inserted obliquely in the other. The heel appears to have a drilled pivot pin hole that is angled, meaning the tail is angled. That shiny part at the base of the tail is sharp. My finger clung to it every time I put my hands on it. The blade holders themselves are almost straight. This part can help the face hold the cartridge, increasing friction. I would be concerned that this contributes to the following problems. None of the blade holders have the bulges and indentations properly aligned with the blade holder, meaning the blade is never straight. It should overhang the same amount around the entire edge, but this is not the case and cannot be done. Also, I've found that the blades tend to flex when placed in holders. This means you shave with a crooked and curved blade. I've tried a few times and I don't trust him. When using it, DO NOT close it with the blade inserted as this may damage or dull the toe. This blade cuts, but most likely you will, as will your beard.
