
Ideal for hiking. I used it yesterday on a difficult and long hike in the Santa Monica mountains and it worked pretty well. Durable and surprisingly light. I lost the "umbrella" part that can be attached below (actually as an extra) because it's made of plastic and I kept hitting it with stones and the like. But the sharp tungsten point was fairly durable and pierced the trail allowing me to lean on when walking if needed. It can also be used as a weapon when you are outdoors and in danger. At least I think so. That's a good stick!
