Review on Schwinn MTB Tire Kevlar 24 Inch by Michael Bustamante

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Kevlar isn't mentioned on the packaging, but it helps.

I live in the area, in a big city. These people throw out their trash and break beer bottles on the sidewalks and streets like it's cool. I've never understood why people throw trash where they live, but hey, stupid people do stupid things, mostly jerks on the block. Well, I get flats on my cheap tires every other day. I bought them and tried to get an apartment. They seem to be working very well, not a single plate in the few days I've put them on. In fact, I pulled a piece of glass out of them last night. he got stuck but couldn't get through the kick zone. they roll a little slower than my old tires, but on the track they kick your butt! muddy corners where I used to brake, now I can go flat out. I will buy some more backup kits. I quickly throw away the tires on my motorized bicycle. cheap tires i eat up in a month change them front to back when they wear out. until it showed a lot of wear, although only a few days had passed. I hope that with these tires I can save to two sets of tires a year. worth the money so far. Update: Drive these baddies for about 350 miles, no flat tires yet (knock on wood). As I said, I use them on a motorized bike. They show very little wear. A little harder to ride on the road than my old brand but much better grip in mud and soft ground. I deliberately tried to move to get an apartment. these hold up well. I think I've found my new tire brand. I've been beating the crap out of the tires and it would be nice if I could easily get through a set of cheaper ones at the 200 mile mark. People say tires are innovative and they are. schwinn has outsourced its tire production to this company. Honestly I can't say anything bad about these tires. You're not paying me to say any of this, either. If so, I could use some free sets of tires. rzunimag. I would tout them everywhere for a few free sets a year. I bet these tires have saved me over half what I spend on puncture repairs and replacing worn tires each year. less apartments, more travel time, worth every penny. I have included a photo of my bike to prove they can withstand the abuse of motorized bikes. 37 mph road, 25 muddy trails. I know they weren't designed for that, but they hold up well. As I said, after 350 miles there is very little wear!. Update #2: With 700+ miles they showed little to no wear. Mostly from starting my bike. They handle the snow very well, they slide a little on the ice, but the ice is slippery. I haven't had a single apartment yet! I just bought another tire for a new rim I was building. These tires are worth it just for the peace of mind. They wear out more like a car tire than a bicycle tire. I thought the front and back had already swapped places, but they didn't. 700 miles and only slight signs of wear. I decided these are my only tires now. Again, I haven't had a single apartment yet, not one! I chose glass and studs from my tires but haven't had to fix the tube yet. I would highly recommend them to city riders and cross country riders alike.

Pros
  • Tires and tubes
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others
