I wanted an alternative bulb for my salt lamp that was cool to the touch and would last a long time. These LEDs are dimmable and roughly equivalent to 25W incandescent bulbs. Consumes much less power and is dimmable, they are great for my lamp. I chose 2700K bulbs to soften the light through the salt rocks even though my bulb is covered in rocks. They are slightly taller than a regular incandescent bulb, but the base is the same.
