Review on πŸ’³ CHIPOLO Card (2020) - Powerful Water Resistant Bluetooth Wallet Tracker for Enhanced Security by Luis Thompson

The killer feature is useless in the real world

The most advertised "Notify out of range" feature doesn't work well enough to be useful. If the Bluetooth connection between the wallet card and your phone is lost, the app will be notified immediately. So it would be great if he lets you know about it so you know if you dropped your wallet somewhere or forgot it at home when you go to your car. You can turn on notification about it to receive notifications. But when I tested it, it never notified me. I check the app, it says disabled so why doesn't it just warn me? I checked Chipolo's support page. It says it doesn't notify immediately because they don't want to bother you with false alerts when you still have the wallet but it went offline for some other reason. He says he'll notify you eventually. It's a terrible policy. I am trying to protect the contents of my WALLET. ID, credit cards, cash, etc. If someone else gets that wallet before I get to it again, I'm screwed. I prefer to "worry" every now and then by mistake because the connection drops. I can just check my pocket to see if I still have it and ignore the warning. When will he finally notify? I drove half a mile and parked and sat there for half an hour waiting for him to warn me but he didn't so I drove home. The app knows where it was last seen, it knows I've just moved from that location, and it doesn't look like I'm still in the same place it was last seen. It shows where I am on the map, where he is. But no, still no notification. This is the only feature that sets it apart from Apple, which doesn't have a wallet tracker, and Tile, which charges a monthly fee for this feature. and Chipolo screwed it up. How about an additional slider that says notify me no matter what and clarifies that it sometimes gives false alerts?
