I have girls who love these science themed socks. The patterns are clear and cute. My daughter noticed that immediately. They happily showed it to their boyfriend, although I repeatedly told them not to take off their shoes at school. Anyway, I wash it when I first get it, like all new clothes. I've washed it several times and the color is still vibrant and there is no shrinkage. I used a cold wash and set up a tumble dryer for baby clothes. As long as they stay comfortable and new.
