I got this mirror to ride! Our paths run right next to the road and are partly shared by cyclists and hikers. If these creatures are silent when approaching your horse, the horse will often be startled and may shove the rider out of fear or be startled and cause him to fall. Horses are "hunting" animals, which means they're always worried about someone chasing them! The mirror allows me to see what's going on, so I can turn the horse over to see it, or ask the person to say a few words to calm the horse down. That works great!
