Review on Camera Canon PowerShot G15 by Makoto Takayama ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

A camera with similar characteristics, size and reasonable price has been waiting for a long time. As soon as he appeared, he acquired at the first opportunity. I bought it as an additional camera to the main one - Canon 60D. But at the same time I bought it with an eye for every day, unlike the Canon 60D. For each time carrying a SLR with you is not very convenient because of its size. Although this is a camera, I really like how it records video, namely, recording up to 1 hour with automatic focusing on faces and the ability to turn on video from any mode with one button. Plus, excellent tracking autofocus on people's faces with full automatic adjustment of composition and white balance. It gives good pictures, but it is inferior to pictures from a DSLR (which is quite logical), especially since I have L series optics on my DSLR. If in one sentence, then for me this camera, as they say, is the golden mean! A camera for every day for a demanding amateur photographer! Recomend for everybody!

Pros
  • + Quality materials and assembly. Nice and comfortable to hold. + The presence of a fully manual photography mode. + Fast lens with very convenient focal lengths. + Good and smart autofocus. It's very cool to automatically focus on people's faces while shooting a video - very convenient. + Continuous video recording up to 1 hour. + Ability to start shooting video from any mode by pressing one button. + Presence of a hot shoe for an external flash. + ISO up to 12800, and you can safely shoot up to a value of 1600 without fear of getting noticeable noise. + Very ergonomic and compact for its capabilities.
Cons
  • - It is not very convenient to take pictures through the optical viewfinder, because the focus point is not particularly visible, and it is small. But this is compared to DSLRs, and this is a feature of almost all compacts. - The display of the battery charge level does not work correctly. It shows it full for a very long time, after it starts showing half the charge - in fact, approximately 20 percent of the charge remains.
