A pH above 5.5 destroys the protective lipid barrier. Your conditioner needs to have an even lower pH to suit your hair. A shampoo with a pH of 9 is extremely alkaline and harmful. In comparison, permanent hair color has a pH of 8.5-9.2. Using this shampoo will cause the same damage as coloring your hair. Hard water spa shampoo doesn't get much better. According to the manufacturer's website, the formula is 6.0-6.8. Please take care of your hair.
