Delay on white side

Just received these today and wanted to test them before I use them. Used a 12v power supply and found that the amber/amber light turns on immediately when power is applied, but the white has a delay. My plan with them is to replace my tail light with a signal and tail light, because I hate red signal lights (it's not clear you signal or brake) and my car has a common brake and signal light housing.
