The very first thing I bought was a nice little device until it stopped charging from either the wall outlet or my computer. And I used this MP3 player for hours every day at work and when I came home. I got my money's worth from my first device. I was able to use a 36GB SD flash drive for additional songs and had no problem playing them. It was great to have an MP3 player with extras; the digital camera and VCR were my favorites. I even dropped it a couple of times and it continued to work with no issues. I LOVE this player. So much so that I used the second one I bought in the same way until the sound stopped working. I can use it as a digital camera and video recorder, but nothing more. The third one I bought to replace my second is a different matter. Loads fine on my computer, but doesn't allow me to drag and drop my MP3 tracks into a music playlist and even blocks my computer's functions. Revain sent me a replacement device and this "replacement" device recharged fine on my computer, but my computer did not recognize the MP3 player afterwards. Even if I used different USB cables. I'm not sure if Visual Land will start producing their devices any differently than they did when I bought my first two MP3 players, but having burned more than once from this product in a short period of time I won't try a third time. And I contacted Visual Land customer support about the issues I was having with my third device. Two weeks later and not a word from them which is disheartening because they have helped me and my sister who also has the same product in the past. I really liked my first two MP3 players, but I wouldn't bother with this product again. I decided to turn the wheel and start taking risks again with this device. Having passed my personal sound quality test with two of my own MP3 tracks I can always tell when the sound is going to be good and so far I'm very happy with the sound quality with this recent purchase. What also helps is that when I plug in my headphones, there's less high-pitched "hum" in the background. But what makes me really happy is that I could play with the genre option while the track was playing, it changed the sound of the music and made the track even better to listen to. Rock, Classic, Pop, Soft, etc. each make a track sound different and I really enjoy customizing my selections to find the perfect match for each track. As I no longer need this device for my old job and will no longer be using it for hours every day, I'm hoping this MP3 will last a few years before I have to replace it. As annoying as this MP3 player can be, I still love all the choices it gives me and I love how the machine lists all my tracks in order by song and track number, making it easy to find a specific one Find song I want to find instantly. Compared to the other two MP3 players I've bought, I don't have that option. And I still love that I can easily use an SD drive up to 64. As with all devices, sometimes it comes down to how well made it is at the factory and I think I got an A for that. . Will update as I use it. Here is hope.
