To be honest I wouldn't use these types of RGB fans (which come with a separate controller) if I were to use the motherboard RGB controller want to use provided by the boards like ASUS and Gigabyte. They WILL work, but I've found that sometimes they come to their senses and start doing what they want. I would use a brand that ONLY comes with fans and cables and is FULLY controlled by the motherboard RGB controller. Deep Cool makes some things I love work this way. It's ok if you want to play with the controller if your motherboard does NOT have an integrated RGB controller. Of course, turning off the computer to play with a controller is becoming obsolete very quickly. If you install and forget it, you will be satisfied with them.
