So far the best remote control for my Nvidia Shield

I've tried several other remote controls for my entertainment system and this is by far the best! I currently have two of these and am using them on a new smart TV setup as well as an old TV (IR remote) with the T95Zplus attached. This remote control is easy to program with old IR remote controls. My setup 1: I have a Samsung Smart TV, Nvidia Shield and a Denon Receiver. My Shield is connected to the receiver and the HDMI cable "Monitor Out" goes to the TV. Because the Shield, TV, and receiver send and receive HDMI-CEC signals, this remote controls all of my devices (the functions I want to control). Turning on my Shield with this remote also turns on the TV and receiver. My receiver then uses the Shield input by default. The volume buttons on this remote control adjust the volume of the receiver. The mute button mutes my receiver. I don't think the Page +/- buttons do anything on the shield. I've never tried number keys. Turning it off with this remote turns off all my devices. Since I have an HDMI-CEC setup, this remote controls the screen effectively in the first place. The screen tells the receiver to turn on, and then the receiver tells the TV to turn on. My setup 2: I have an old Panasonic plasma TV with an IR remote control. I have a T95Z Plus (Android streaming box) connected to this TV. This remote works well with T95z Plus. The only complaint is that the YouTube app doesn't scroll well, but that's the streaming box's fault. I have programmed extra buttons to turn the TV on/off (via infrared) but rarely use this extra button as the streaming device uses the power button to turn the TV on/off. I also programmed the TV's "Input Select" and "Volume Up/Down" to the extra buttons on this remote. They use the IR function of the TV and work perfectly. This remote: This remote works very well with my Nvidia Shield. However, I don't have 100% of the features that the OEM Shield remote has. There is no remote voice control function. Typing on the Shield keyboard doesn't work either. So I flip this remote and tap it. The gyroscopic mouse works well. The key lighting also works well. The keys feel comfortable. The entire steering wheel shakes, you click on one of the arrows. Holding the arrow rotates the screen and speeds up scrolling. The battery is a nice feature. Programming additional keys is also very useful. The range of Bluetooth is large. This remote also has IR connectivity in addition to Bluetooth connectivity and will control older TVs with IR remotes.

Pros
  • 👍 With the built-in air mouse function, you can precisely control the movement of the host device's cursor without the need for traditional keyboard and mouse, free your hands and increase the enjoyment!
Cons
  • Not bad
