Always wanted an OBD scanner with bi-directional support in this price range. Kingbolen helped me a lot when I made the decision to buy this scanner and answered all my pre-purchase questions and concerns. Although the product description is provided, even after googling I don't see a review on this particular product, so I thought I'd share my brief experience with it (away from the product description, but I think it will help to complete it). The tablet is designed like a tank thanks to the protective cover, but it is easy to remove when adding a micro SD card, you do not need to use any special tool for this, just a thumb, in my case I started pressing on the corner, where the charging port is. You will need to use the needle of a SIM tray eject tool or something similar to remove the tray. This is a Lenovo tablet and the specs seem to be better than the product description says about the tablet, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage. Most bi-directional controllers on my new Canbus Subaru (2010 Outback) can display up to 12 PIDs and add/remove PIDs easily. For the older 2005 Forester, most of the advanced features aren't supported, maybe because it's an older car? I also wanted to monitor the AT solenoids on this car but again this is 2005 and this is Subaru I found that many aftermarket scan tools do not have good support for Subaru. Another note/advice, especially for new Launch product owners like me, if you're creating an account using the x431 app on a tablet and can't proceed, you don't have to meet the password requirements with special characters, letters, numbers, and at least length 8 will work.
