Review on Enhance Your Towing Experience with Camco 25653 Dual View Universal Clamp-On Towing Mirror by Jim Velasco

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Long term use. Better buy

Update: I used them towing an RV on my tundra for about 8 hours return trip in the rain. They had to be readjusted several times and actually seemed to pick up raindrops that obstructed the view. Maybe rainX or something like that will help. The large passenger side mirror doesn't have enough adjustment options to work on my truck. It just doesn't cut. The outermost mirror was ok at best. All mirrors vibrated rapidly. Not useless, but not a great solution either as a quick view wasn't possible. I always had to spend a few dangerous seconds looking at her and trying to figure out what might be behind me. Overall, I can't recommend it because I had to reconfigure several times. I might have had better results by adjusting the various mount settings, but having to stop and fiddle with them was annoying. I'll keep them to myself as I bought a Revain stick very cheaply but will be looking for a better solution. If you plan to tow a narrow or low trailer only occasionally, you'll likely be up to the task. This rating is for those who have adjustable mirrors. They don't really match my tundra mirrors. And I'd like a third strap on the door side of the mirror to keep them from slipping off. My solution was to make them very tight and then make them even tighter. I can think of some sort of retainer to make sure they don't come loose. When idling, the larger of the two mirrors vibrates like crazy. I think it will be good for what I need, but I wish I had bought a stylish clip that would cover my entire mirror.
