Works with some cards but I probably should have bought the cheap ones.
It's got a nice slick color screen, an annoyingly loud speaker, and voice output that feels like overkill. I was able to read multiple HID Proximity, HID iClass Px, and IEI cards. However, the decoding function seems to be for MIFARE cards. I couldn't read the Indala T2 key fob with it. The documentation covers the basic read/write functions, but nothing more. There seems to be an undocumented manual input mode, but it doesn't work for HID 125kHz mode. If you're dealing with 125kHz cards, you won't get any benefit from using this device over the cheap ones.
- Note: 1. Works with unencrypted cards. This does NOT work with fully encrypted cards! Thanks to its decoding software, it can work with some semi-encrypted cards, but not all. Please read usage in this listing before purchasing. 2. Specified tags are empty. You can't read anything from them. Please email them the data to be used first. And don't confuse them. Tags with different frequencies are not compatible.
