Review on 🎨 Discover Endless Creativity with PlayableART A7072 Playable ART Ball by Danny Badasz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent toy; really suitable for children on the autism spectrum.

I originally bought this gift as a gift for my classmate although it is coming home in the summer for my daughter to play with. My sister teaches special needs education and one of the children is on the autism spectrum. I found this Playable ART Ball while doing a general search for toys for children with autism, so I can't claim to have thought of it myself. My 5 year old daughter who is not on the autism spectrum loves it too as do I. So it really is a toy for everyone. The spheres are connected in a way I can't describe, but they move in pairs and can rotate. With them you can create different shapes and move them around. They are all related, which I think is clear from the product photos. All of this is just a part that can be manipulated. While I haven't been able to craft the cube or some of the stacks shown in the product image, I enjoy manipulating them. The parts move, giving them, for lack of a better word, sensory value. They are made of wood but are smooth to the touch, easy to manipulate but stay in place. This makes this toy great for people with autism. I find it relaxing to just play around with them and see what patterns I can make - a bit of a stress reliever I guess. The paint will peel off after a while, but that's to be expected. After more than a year of ownership and in the hands of many children, you can see where the paint has worn off. Much more colour.
