My favorite warmblood gelding drowned and has mostly recovered but shouldn't be eating green grass. This muzzle allowed him to go outside, run, kick, play, and socialize with other horses. I tried another brand that fell apart but this one does the job. He gets a few blades of grass through a quarter-sized hole in the middle of his snout when he "grazes" with other horses. This keeps him busy as he feels he is doing something. He's a big guy (17.2 hands) and the big guy is barely big enough but works for a short time when kicked out. Lead rope clasps built into a full muzzle will break or tear the muzzle. With the power of a big horse, they don't stand a chance; but THIS muzzle attached to a regular halter still gives some level of control. -Stephanie
