These reversible spring tweezers are very effective at removing any size tick by first heating the tip with a lighter until very hot. Then gently squeeze the tweezers to open the tweezers and position them around the tick's body so that the spring grips the tick's body. The heat instantly "roasts" the tick, killing it and the head. The head is immediately detached and the whole body removed with forceps. The manufacturer of these tweezers must refer to this method in their advertising or instructions for use.
