I recently fractured my upper arm just below the humeral head and was lucky I didn't need surgery or a cast. Well, I could have a suitcase, but you'd have to wrap it around the other side of my body, you get the point. This type of fracture is essentially a shoulder fracture and is very painful. The humerus is a large bone and with a fracture this high, mobility in the shoulder is compromised and any movement is painful at first. I bought this bandage because the cheap one they sent me home was very uncomfortable. This sling evokes the immediate sensation of "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Ich denke, dieser Verband ist besser für Fractures older than 2 weeks when mobility is not as painful as in Dickens What I really liked was being able to throw the sling over my shoulder then put my arm through and put the sling on myself also liked that I could easily undo and close the velcro with one hand as it came undone under the weight of my hand (strap didn't come undone, fabric stretched and gave).It got me through the day an almost automatic action: loosen, tighten, curl rn, tighten. It was comfortable to wear and I would buy it again anytime as it is not a new breakage.
