Purchased in July 2014 for our VIZIO 55 inch.Open.Different from the slideout board on the standard remote.It was awkward at first but after you get used to it it's really better than that original slideout keyboard remote control. Firstly, the original broke BECAUSE of the slideout keyboard. The connection cable breakage. for all extensions. what took the whole console! That doesn't happen with this one! At least you can clean it! The gliding board was much more difficult to clean due to the protruding area of the edge. Not so with this one. When the original remote failed, I did a little research and found that you can buy a replacement NT kit and fix the wiring yourself. for about $15. THEN WHAT. It wasn't guaranteed that you'd have to rip out the old stuff to install the new ones (according to the YouTube video) and still have a chance of breaking those "tender" (new) wires during installation. And if you didn't install it properly, you'd have to take it apart again to see where it's not connecting. Oh, and you can break the case in half just by opening it. or break the leads. It just seemed like a lot of complicated repairs that I didn't want to mess with. Then I found a replacement remote (XRT302) for $80. then on another site for $35. here on Revain for $20. I compared and compared. and see no difference! I even made a few phone calls, including VIZIO. They approved the XRT302 as the correct replacement for the remote control. There weren't many reviews of him, and what was didn't help much. We decided to give it a try and we are very happy about it! It was easy to set up, easy to use, etc.
