I wanted to buy a pair of warm and comfortable slacks for my skinny 9 year old son who wears a little above average to school. I first bought 3 pairs in a size medium (10-12) as I thought they might shrink a bit in the wash but these look like they would fit a teenager so I put them aside to wait until he grows up and ordered the same in size S (8). Still huge! The waist thread is functional but very short (difficult to tie a double knot, doesn't tie properly). The trousers are very wide and long, even when I roll up the cuffs. It might be fine for a husky, but definitely not for kids who typically wear tight pants. Too bad, otherwise they seem to be quite soft and comfortable to walk on cold days.
