This duck dummy is made out of softer foam than the Dokken mallard I have. The duck's entire body and head are made of this soft foam. However, it is not soft enough to take apart. The only difficult part is the ball at the end of the rope. I like the softness of the foam because it doesn't break anything. I want the ball to be soft too so I can throw it around the house. The foam so far seems strong enough to withstand my dog's bite. However, if you chew aggressively, this thing can tear apart quickly. The Dokken has slightly stiffer foam, but after a while my dog tore the foam too. The Dokken has a plastic head and plastic legs, which this one doesn't have.
