I have bought them 3 times already. As you will see in the video explanation, the first pair failed to hold the hood of my Classic 1970 GMC at 45mph and broke one of the hood hinges! Fortunately there are no other injuries. But since I now had 2 holes in the hood I bought a few more and wanted to add a safety mechanism to them. After replacing the hood hinges and carefully lowering the hood until the latches engaged on the pins, I now had the hood locked in such a position that I could never in my life get the buttons to push and unlock! I needed a crowbar wrapped in a towel, which I slipped under the hood between the grille and pushed the button with a rubber-coated tool to unlock it! I ordered a third pair hoping to get a pair that I could at least use with an added security mechanism. These locks are beautiful, but DON'T HOPE THEM WORK CORRECTLY! I will say that my request for a refund was granted immediately. And if you read some of the other reviews you will see that there are similar complaints but not as severe as mine.
