I needed a camera and microphone for my PC to host and attend Zoom meetings. This product serves that purpose well. The images are of course larger and much better on my PC screen than the view my cellphone gives me. The images captured by my camera seem clear and the microphone picks up my voice so others can understand. I have no comparative characteristics, but the device meets my needs and desires. The only adjustment I had to make was the placement of the camera on my monitor. It has wide bezels and therefore nothing to attach the camera to. However, a piece of Gorilla tape on the front holds the camera in place nicely. I am not familiar with the term "transparency" and therefore cannot judge it. I like the sliding lens cover and find that it can mute the sound too.
