This item is described differently on different websites, but it's actually a pretty powerful slit punch that makes 1/8" x 3/8" horizontal slits (perpendicular to the length of the tool) which is ideal for punching holes in vertical blinds. It's strong enough to punch through vinyl planks, plastic, etc. The hole is just the right width but is a bit narrow, but you can double punch it to make it thicker if needed. That's why I wanted it, but I'm pretty sure it's good for a lot of other things too.
