I bought packs of long vertical blinds and didn't want to waste the long pieces I cut off. This tool punches holes to make multiple short strips out of long pouches. Some brands of blinds may require you to punch the hole twice to make the hole slightly larger. You can follow the hole pattern and make sure the hole punch punched the entire hole. This saved me from buying a few extra packs of blinds at around $30.00 a pack. Worth every penny!

I found this little puncher from EK Success and decided to give it a try as other reviews said it was good. Of course they did their job. I think the hole he punches is slightly smaller than those punched in the blinds. It didn't matter because he was doing his job. This hammer drill is light and of good quality.

This item is described differently on different websites, but it's actually a pretty powerful slit punch that makes 1/8" x 3/8" horizontal slits (perpendicular to the length of the tool) which is ideal for punching holes in vertical blinds. It's strong enough to punch through vinyl planks, plastic, etc. The hole is just the right width but is a bit narrow, but you can double punch it to make it thicker if needed. That's why I wanted it, but I'm pretty sure it's good for a lot of other things…
