Review on Storkcraft Glider Ottoman Cherry Chenille by Joe Roberts

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but needs a little upgrade

I bought it in March 2016 and it's really easy to assemble. But after about two months, while my wife was rocking our amazing baby, the springs in the wooden frame under the seat cushion popped out of the frame. When the 30 day purchase period was up I contacted Stork Craft and they were great at replacing the seat base. I asked the person on the phone at Stork Craft if this was a common problem with these airframes and was told it was the case with some units. I think this is a design issue as nothing but the friction and tension of the springs is holding the springs in the holes. They just sit in holes drilled in the wooden frame and when you get into the airframe the springs flex (it's spring steel) and the springs can come out of the holes. I can change the base by putting a small U-shaped nail or strong clamp on each feather where it enters the wood so it doesn't happen again in the future. My wife and I love the glider. It's really comfortable, has a very smooth feel and the side pockets are great for storing things like baby bottles and books. I would give it five stars if it weren't for a small design flaw in the seat springs. If I build it myself, it will be a five star glider. :)
