I was disappointed with the RAM suction cup mount for my car phone and decided to try one of these as a permanent solution. It is installed in a small glass triangle on the driver's side between the windshield and the door and has been there since last September. Despite some heat, sub-zero temperatures and lots of condensation, it was rock solid. It's being tested in some serious heat this summer and I'll try to remember to come back here to add to this review now that I know better what's going on, but so far it's working great and I've just installed a second one in mine the woman's car. for the same purpose.
