As a health conscious person I am very picky about not only what goes into my body but also what I use to store food that ends up in my body. I don't like plastic and usually use glass when I can. And while my Pyrex Tupperware glassware works great, the lids tend to break easily because they've been BPA removed and I've been trying to find a solution to replace the lid. I didn't want to buy plastic all the time, so I decided to give it a try. There was something of a learning curve. Firstly, there is no rush when using them as you need to be careful to crumple them first and then flatten them and stick them where you want them. Although the product works, I have found that it leaves sticky marks on my hands after using it. I understand they're all natural, made from beeswax and jojoba oil and resin so they're biodegradable and everything is so beautiful, but I don't like sticky hands when I'm cooking food and I don't. I really want a jojoba oil and beeswax sandwich, so I don't wrap food in it, instead using it as a lid for my glass storage jars. how to use them. If you keep your home cold, you might need a little extra heat from your hands to keep them sticking. I keep my house at 78 and have no problem taking her to work. But if I start with a container that is already cold, then I have little trouble with it. So I use a rubber band to hold it in place when I'm in a hurry and that seems to help. It should be noted that I asked the manufacturer to freeze them as I like to prep food ahead of time and store it in the freezer until it's time to go. According to the manufacturer, they can be frozen, but no longer than a month, as this will reduce the life of the film. That was fine with me as my food is usually taken out of the freezer and eaten within a week. After all, we have a lot of food allergies at home, so I'm very careful about what I eat/buy. I contacted the manufacturer and asked what was used for the dye and was told the colors are made from an all natural, plant based dye that is completely safe and FDA approved. I figured I didn't want to take any chances due to our food allergies, natural or not, but the manufacturer told me they make cling film with no coloring. , which I think is great and I'm already looking forward to the sale. In general I am very happy with them. Save the planet and don't use plastic in your food, so win win. But the stickiness on the hands is a bit annoying, hence four stars instead of five.
