These shoes fit wide feet. I ordered an 8.5 for my size 8 twins thinking I could put thick socks on them if the shoes are too big but nothing about the fit if they are too big. small. They were a perfect fit for my son who has "fat" feet and too loose for my daughter who has the narrowest feet I've ever seen. She wore thick socks, he wore regular socks. :-). These shoes were perfect for our photo shoot but I wouldn't use them for casual play because they feel loose and my kids couldn't put them on themselves due to the back of the shoe folding when they tried to push. their feet inside. Strange thing to note. One of the boots has 5 silver metal circles and 1 brass metal circle. The other 3 shoes are all silver so I don't know what happened there during production. Luckily it's not in my photos but it worries me and I wish I hadn't missed the returns window because I'd go back and try to get a replacement. Oh well. For $14 they did their job.
