They run a little bigger than the size chart says, so don't go up a size or they'll look like clown shoes. The elastic is tight enough to keep them in place, but loose enough to make slipping on the posable legs a breeze. I thought it would be noteworthy to mention that the sole and toe box are not white. They are yellowish white. It doesn't bother me, but some might.

I used to like these shoes, I bought 5 pairs in the last year and a half. Something has changed recently (or maybe just yellow ones?), they now have laces although no pics, and now the tongue isn't set high enough to cover the lace eyelets which are metallic and notched! Very poor quality control when my baby said "ooh" and of course he had a deep scratch on his leg from the bent metal tab!

These shoes fit wide feet. I ordered an 8.5 for my size 8 twins thinking I could put thick socks on them if the shoes are too big but nothing about the fit if they are too big. small.
