I got this because the temperature in the attic of my apartment is often very different from the temperature in the rest of the apartment. I wanted to see the temperature so I could turn the fan on and off accordingly at the bottom of the steps. It says it's accurate to 1° Celsius, which is 2.4° Fahrenheit. If you're monitoring room temperature, it's pretty much useless. I need a sweatshirt in the attic and it reads 74 degrees. I'm going to die from the sun and this thing is going to read 69.4 degrees. It's consistently good 4-5°+ from my IR heat gun. Don't waste your time and money on this stupid thing.
