we never thought we would

be so happy with a sugar bowl. we were starting to think we would never even be reasonably happy with one. we couldn’t find one even close to what we were looking for and we had been looking for years and years off and on and off and on…from online to thrift stores etc. we were looking for one with a little slot in the lid for the spoon handle which was relatively decent looking (plain porcelain would have been fine) and we wanted one with a hole that was only large enough to comfortably hold the spoon and not 400% too large—more like big enough fir the spoon plus 25-30%. yeah that never happened. apparently that classic design is all but impossible to find now and when you find it the hole is always giant and sloppy and ridiculous. i simply can’t emphasize properly how stoked myself and the old lady are. we get a kick out it and have laughed several times already about how funny it is that we are THIS doggone happy about a silly sugar bowl. we each only take about ¼ teaspoon of sugar in out espresso. It works out to be an almost level spoonful from this adorable little spoon. it’s awesome since the spoon is ceramic, and not metal which obviously is an efficient heat conductor and sucks heat out of espresso quickly.BUT THIS ONE DOESNT NEED A HOLE AND THE WHOLE SPOON STAYS 100% INSIDE THE BOWL—IT STAYS CLEAN AND PROTECTED FROM DUST OR WHATEVER—AND IT RIDES HIGH AND DRY ABOVE THE SUGAR WHERE IT IS ALWAYS EASY TO GRAB AND IT POSITIVELY SEXY/CUTE AS A BUTTON. That last part depends on the vibe and other circumstances but let’s be real, the spoon is dead sexy. All kidding aside, long story short if you like the looks and the little metallic wave doesn’t bother you you will love this sweet bowl. new guests will have to be shown the spoon sometimes, hehe.enjoy your coffee and tea folks! this bowl should do the trick and kick up your coffee/tea game by at least half a notch. I would pull a shot and toast the genius guy/gal who designed it and also shake the hand of whatever suit approved it and whichever suit imported it and shake all of their hands. Salut.
