Revainrating 5 out of 5

Checked; true results. You will love this scale.

Mackie Scientific Scale is what I play with for about a week. For reasons you'll see, I'm reviewing them; which I rarely do for a product. For a summary of the review, please read the review below. Read on for deeper thoughts. Overview: Measuring 6" wide x 10" high and just over 1/2" thick, this scale really packs the options you need for easy access and balance. between display size and usability. You can easily program over 900 products yourself; They don't waste space by crowding you with over 2000 products that you won't be using. The accuracy is very reliable and constant! Customer support via email is quick and easy. Yes, they are kindly quick to respond and based in Washington State! This is a small company with a great product they care! With this scale you get stable results, very accurate results, great features such as Memory recall (to add up values at the end), quick and easy user settings (access your user numbers by pressing and holding the "call" button for 3 seconds until the letter "C" appears on the screen), can I highly recommend this product and have spoken to them about where their nutritional values come from. That's why it's rare to find an adjustable scale at this price point. If you're really looking for a scale, this already interests you; So why not buy one that really puts you in control because it's the only way you can really customize it to suit your lifestyle and dietary needs? Pros: size and light weight; Easy to program; Big display; Supplied with AAA batteries; over 900 programmable products; already programmed more than 900 common products; Convenient button sizes; Accuracy stable within 1g; Great company responsive and helping; Ideal for diabetics and people who tend to eat properly. Cons: No real cons to mention, plus it may not have a consistent weight of less than 10g, which is like 5 small nuts. I suspect it's just the "activation weight". This isn't a bad thing as the weight is never lost, if you get over it it still reads all the weight. Read the detailed review. By pressing and holding the "Save" button you can program over 900 of your own dishes! This is the greatest ability combined with the other features I will mention. If you are a true foodie, diabetic (like my friend) or really want to manage your diet; Programming is a must. Most scales show over 1,900 units of junk food, grains, and not-so-accurate nutritional information. I program almost all my products; Simply press and hold the save button and add the desired code and then all the nutritional values. Press and hold the recall button for 3 seconds to enter custom value mode (the letter "c" will be displayed and a beep will sound to confirm you have entered custom mode for your codes). You don't have to switch to user mode to create them. , for your use only. It's rare to find scales that use or come with AAA batteries. Some use 9V, some may not come with batteries. I like being able to use rechargeable batteries so 9V on other scales is annoying. The fact that it comes with batteries adds to the value and convenience of the package. I also did the raw almond test by weighing raw, organic almond nuts. I compared the gram weight of 1/4 of the serving to what was on the packet 1/4s after zeroing; on site! In the same way, I found that he didn't see a constant weight until it was about 10g on the scale. Testing only almonds under 10g gave different results that changed. After 10 g (approx. 8 tonsils) it always remained constant. This does not mean that he is "missing" the 10 g weight when weighing objects; Rather, it sees every gram to the nearest 1 gram after it reaches an activation weight of around 5-10 grams. I've literally used it to weigh mint leaves and it's accurate if you adjust the activation weight. I also tested this by zeroing the bowl (weighing about 192g) and adding a mint leaf and there were no problems. This product has a simple call function to store multiple ingredient values as you measure them and total them for you. The ability to program over 900 custom values is also ideal! If you're health conscious and mindful of things like carbs, take the time to program your food the way you eat it. Example: As a diabetic, some foods contain carbohydrates, but also carbohydrates with fiber. When I'm juicing for us, the most correct way to do it is to subtract out the fiber carbs found in veggies, as they are not "fast-acting carbs" for insulin and are also removed during the juicing process. So I have custom values just for juicing and cooking with them. The scale isn't just something you want to browse through over 2,000 pre-programmed items that you can't use and find the codes for them in the book. It's a product that allows you to customize and input nutritional value for your lifestyle and is built to last. I have to say that I really liked everything about these scales. I have created a nutritional database that reflects our ideal eating style and can be modified if necessary. For dishes that I always use with the same amount of ingredients and that are easy to reproduce, I've even given them their own food code after figuring out the carb value per gram with the combined ingredients. Once everything is set up, it's a really impressively simple experience. For the price of this item, its quality and company, you will enjoy using it and how well it helps you control or know what you are eating. I demand consistency and ease of use and this product delivers. I hope this will be of great help to anyone interested. I give this 5 stars for the quality of the product; transparency and honesty of the company; the ability to customize any desired food value; and to be a product that is truly more "your" the more you use it and enjoy it for your lifestyle.
